The Children's Hospital's affiliated pediatric ophthalmologists and staff examine and treat all types of children's eye disorders and injuries, including diagnosing a need for glasses or contact lenses to improve vision, strabismus, amblyopia, tear duct obstructions, congenital cataracts, congenital glaucoma, or retinopathy of prematurity. The service works closely with special programs/clinics to provide ophthalmologic expertise to children with multiple medical and learning disabilities. Children from birth through age 18 are eligible for treatment.
